Assign a Profile to Devices

If you want to deploy an Application to an edge device, you will have to assign a Profile to the specific device(s). The device(s) will then pull the necessary packages one's it comes online. There's two ways to assign a Profile to Device(s), follow these steps:

Approach 1: Assign from Profile page
  1. Click on Deployment > Profiles (side panel of your workspace)
  2. Select the Profile you would like to deploy to devices
  3. Click the vertical dot menu and select Assign Profile to Device(s)
  4. Select one or more devices by clicking the device icon on the left side of the row
  5. Confirm the deployment process
Approach 2: Assign from Device page
  1. Click on Deployment > Devices (side panel of your workspace)
  2. Select one or multiple devices by clicking the device icon on the left side of the row
  3. Click the vertical dot menu and select Assign Profile
  4. Select the Profile you want to deploy and confirm
If you have more than one device selected, you can use the vertical dot menu on the right top of the page to apply changes to all selected devices

There will be a popup which asks you to confirm the deployment process. Please note that a device might already be configured and you don't want to lose the local configuration (e.g. Region of Interest).

In the popup you will have the option to "keep compatible configuration settings" or to "reset configuration settings to default". If you reset the local configuration settings, all previously deployed settings will be overwritten.
